The Federation of Independent Schools told the union it does not intend to meet with the union again until November, and it is unclear whether new company agreements will be negotiated. The AIS also states that salary increases in 2021, if any, would be set on a discretionary school-by-school basis outside the negotiation process. The 2017 New South Wales Multi-Company Teachers Agreement (hybrid model) was approved by the Fair Work Board on 23 March 2017 and begins on 30 March 2017. Modern pricing and company agreements work in conjunction with National Employment Standards (NES), which are 10 minimum conditions to which all employees are entitled.
